I was informed that the designer has changed. The new designer was extremely helpful and completely understanding! Original review: We had used picture build a few years ago for my front yard and my backyard and I actually would like to give them 0 stars! When we met with the designer, we made very clear that we were looking for plants in the backyard that would provide us immediate privacy. The plants that they planted have not even grown more than a foot in the last three plus years. They obviously did not use the right plants to achieve that goal. It has not provided me with the privacy that I needed, in fact one of the plants has completely died. I have contacted them on several occasions to request for them to remove the plants and replace them with something that would provide me with privacy as I paid a lot of money for their service. However to date, they have not been able to accommodate me. My last request was for them to just simply remove them. They wanted to charge me $200 to remove the plants. This is an insult to injury. In addition to this major concern, they did not do a good job planning and planting in the front yard either. Many of the plants died and others are either overcrowded or placed in an odd location. Dana did a great job with the design and Jorge was an excellent project manager. All the employees on the job day-to-day were friendly, efficient and reliable. Special thanks to Max, Hugo and Carlos. Mo was very organized and clear with the billing throughout the project. Led by Jorge, the whole Picture Build crew knocked our project out of the park and transformed our front and backyards into the outdoor living oases we dreamed of. We've worked with other contractors who don't show up as planned, leave early, leave projects unfinished, add hidden fees, etc., but this wasn't our experience with Jorge and his team. They are the real deal. Every step of the way, they were punctual, professional, hardworking, and truly went above and beyond for us in every sense. We had our entire driveway and side of house have pavers installed. Replaced the lawn and replace the sprinkler system. They advised on best solutions and gave us options. They also happened to start the project during the hottest week in LA in recorded history. Nothing stopped them. They were in and out as per promised schedule and did an excellent, clean job. On two separate project consultations that I've had over the past two years, Picture Build has been egregiously horrible with communicating and providing updates or requested information. They have repeatedly ignored my calls, emails, and text messages. In the first instance of their horrible communication, the owner Brian subsequently contacted me to apologize and offer a small project discount if I used their services, so I went ahead and hired them for a small 8k plant and hedge installation. A year later, I contacted them about a larger 50k+ project installing my backyard. The consultant I previously worked with, Daniel, came out for a consult then completely ghosted me as he had done the previous year. He told me he'd follow up with a design and updated quote, but I never heard from him again. I emailed and texted him, and also contacted the main office multiple times as well as the owner (Brian) via email, and not one person had the decency to get back to me. Picture Build unfortunately now has a clear pattern of disregard and non-communication to prospective and previous clients that I can attest to, which is extremely rude, unprofessional, and discourteous. I'll take my 50K+ to another landscaping company that actually respects its clients and has the decency to communicate with them.Posted onVerified Loved Picture Build.
