Public Works contracts can be complicated and time consuming. Mistakes can occur when the scope is not exactly understood and expectations are not met. Costing the owner, the prime and subs time and money.

At Picture Build we understand this and we focus on having the correct attitude and disciplines to make sure any Public Works is run with exacting standards and follow through. We work to make sure everyone is on the same page from bid to completion.

Our Process for Public Works Projects includes:

Proper Bid Evaluation – Often primes or subs will miss important details or mistakes in bid phase. The plans are not always accurate and often there is conflicting requirements that need to be clarified. We work to ensure any discrepancies are handled prior to bid submission and work.

Proper Bid Detailing – Our bids are detailed and include exact scopes to ensure it is well known exactly what is included and not included in a Public Works project. We use take off software to get accurate per plan set measurements.

Proper Planning – We conduct production meetings to go over scopes and ensure that the job is properly scheduled within the given time frames of construction while working with and around other contractors.

Proper Job Management – A project supervisor is assigned and dedicated to running the job and acts as the main liason with the owner

Proper Certified Payroll Reporting – Our CFO oversees the payroll reporting and ensures that it is in the correct format and timely submitted. We can handle PLA projects and work with the union halls to get correct staff placement and dues and fees submissions.

Proper Follow Up – We ensure that after completion any issue that may come up is handled promptly. We also include in some of our contracts follow up maintenance to our installations.
